depends on what you use your phone for
If you surf the internet on your phone get a iPhone
but if you want email and texting and chatting then get a Blackberry Bold

1. Make the switch from Verizon to ATT
2. I phone is koo has lots of koo shit for it but I believe still lags on MMS and video? Unless the new version has it.
3. If you don't get the iphone I'd say don't get the bold and wait on the blackberry 8900

8900 will not be 3G
The Bold is the only 3G Blackberry for ATT
The new iPhone software comes out soon which will have MMS
The new iPhone is scheduled to be releasted later this year and wont have much more to it other then rumor has it that it will have a slide out keyboard...

the New OS firmware for the current iPhone is called 3.0 and will be out late june according to reports.

4g network is set for release in 2011 depending on if IPv6 is released to the computer world. IPv6 is the new internet protocol set to release in 2010. This is to improve the over all speed of the internet as well as expand the WWW....the World Wide Web currently is running out if IP ranges, thus the need for a new system.
4G cell phones will take advantage of that network....some parts of Verizon are already 4g networks.

I have connect for a new iphone its 500 bucks.. the new small one.. I seen it already in person.. My boy bought for from China.. He was at a convention 2 months ago and bought 3.. its all the same just smaller.. and this one doesn't have internet/ browser.. it is just for phone use and texting and games and stuff.

thats the iphone Clone....the new one does have the internet Browser...that is what makes the iPhone...thats like putting a Suzuki out with a Honda motor....sure it runs....just not what Suzuki is known for...

Yo! Picked up the new iPhone on Friday and its the sheit! I'm on it 24/7...however, I see two problems so far. 1) effing battery dies quick (not sure if its cuz im on it 24/7) and 2) mms is not available like they stated (bitches have the capability both sum FCC bullshit or something).
But if anyone needs to know the temperature holla atcha boy!

it works in your area....Your just so short it takes longer for the signal to get to you from the satellite...
on the real..everytime I have been to your house I have had pretty good signal

well that sucks even more for you because the TOWERS are even closer to the ground...and FYI...there are satalilite relay points for Cell phones....how do you think you call New York on a cell phone...it goes to a tower which then relays it to a SAT back down to a tower....There is no way a call goes from tower to tower to tower all the way from LA to NY.....the signal isn't that strong and the FCC regulates how much power a Tower can push a signal....otherwise the signal would "STEP" all over other signals....

i have been an iphone user since day one and i hate to say it, but it sucks. I am moving and getting a blackberry bold. Seems like the blackberry is a way better smart phone.. stay away from iphones. besides once u drop it and damage it its done. no exchanges or returns. no insurance period. pretty lame. But well i wish luck to all the iphone users I myself still am an iphone user until i get enough money to buy a blackberry.

I have both the new iPhone 3gs and the Blackberry Bold and will say this....The only think the Blackberry has over the iPhone is the Email, Blackberry Messenger, and Keyboard.
The iPhone has way more APPS.....far better Browser and can do more things.....I love my BB BOLD....but for email only.....
if likes surfing the net on ur iPhone good luck with your BB...u will get tired of it within a day....it wont open the MSR site....wont do FLASH.....all it does is basic HTML and it does even do that well.....
as for insurance.....I have ATT and my iPhone is covered under insurance.....so is my blackberry....

sweet thanks FerNie for the info.. man when i bought my iphone i was strictly told i had no insurance whatsoever just the one warranty that is given by apple which i already used. I still rock the first iphone. but anyways i might just upgrade to 3gs since i believe today iphone text images will be available atleast that is what mike wild told me today.. so I will be looking forward to that.

So connect to itunes, check for update (will take bout 5 seconds to dl or so)
Reboot your iphone and wallah the MMS option will appear when sending a photo
