Looking for a home theater system.

throwing it out there if anyone has hook ups or things that may fall off a truck.  Looking for a home theater system for the pad.  Bose is outta price range.  Sony had a good system at Wallgreens.  But I know we got some "people" with extra ones laying around somewhere.  If it is good enough, I may trade for my shotgun or something if interested.  1000 watts is what I am looking for

Watts are nice.....but the speaker is really what makes the system

I have a cheap HEAD unit, I think i paid $300 for it and it's only 450 watts.....but I have the BOSE speaker system with the powered SUB....

most of the BOX systems are just OK....I suggest getting a nice set of FRONT....CENTER....REAR speaker and then getting  OK HEAD unit.

get the onkyo 7.1

you wont have any dvd's higher than 5.1 anyway but why not have that many speakers, I was gonna buy one at thanksgiving for $399.00 there more thank that regularly though

like ice said, you'll get the best system putting it together peice by peice.
