Sup all,

Where is a good place for insurance...I have a clean record, msf safety course and I still got quoted by Progressive for $3600/yr.  Tried state farm but you need to have a car insured with them before you can insure a bike.

Anyone have low insurance they wouldn't mind reffering me to? Thanks all.

I have a friend who is an insurance broker and I go through him for my car insurance and will go through him when I get my bike. His name's David, I don't have his number on me but his email is: baker@stratumins.com. Really nice, really helpful guy. I checked for someone earlier, but he quoted about $240/year for a less than perfect driving record for liability only.

Thanks for reminding me; I gotta see about adding additional drivers to my policy :p

Thanks for all the #'s and email's everyone.

Does everyone just do liability/theft on their bikes? No full coverage?

That's probably why your insurance rate is so low. Motorcycle insurance goes down a lot after you've had your M1 for 3 years; granted you don't make a habit of adding points to your record...

I had my m1 for more than 3 years and have more pionts then you can count on 1 hand. But I still pay 150.00  a year.

i've had a couple of different bikes that i've insured with state farm without adding a car....i know you can call different state farm agents and get different quotes so it might be worth trying another one...i just switched from state farm because GMAC wrote my new policy for half the price...good luck.

What can I say State Farm is the best! lol......It is true about having other lines of business, that helps your premium go down.
