Fernie was so Mexican that....

-  He showed the same fake ID that the three other mexicans before him did
-  He did not talk, just knodded his head up and down
-  even cholos who were there, told him that he could not get in.
-  He had to "walk-through" the kitchen and they made him stay there for duties
