: No Headlight Mounting Tabs ,on after market plastic's.....
: Anonymous May 22, 2008, 10:55:56 PM
Anyone have any ideas for mounting headlights,on after market plastic's.

:First Logical answer cut off stock mounting tabs of stock farring. That's if they were cut off straight,etc... would like to add hid's at this time as well, anyways.

Has anyone came across this in the past.

If someone can give me some ideas or the way to do it,i would really appreciate it.

what I would do is try to mock up something just like it with a small gage piece of tin/steal and then place them where you need it on the new plastics and fiber glass them in.....you can get a cheap fiber glass kit at like Lowes or Home depot for small projects....

You could also try some industral strength appox. in the tubes...

The bike in question was my Rc51 oo.

I was able to fab it up with sheet metal. After trying fiberglass/dremel cutting old tabs off/apoxy etc.

I give it up for those who have the patients for fiberglass work....Damn

Big thanks for the input,"ICE"started me in the right direction.
